Crashing Inside.

© 2008 Gary Eisenbraun.

Make my way to the window
to see it from the outside.
Dreams come, then they go.
I can see it myself,
when it’s all said and done.
Tell me, what will it show?
I’m waking at night,
too much indecision.
Can you make up your mind?
Or just let me go.

(chorus)
I been crashing inside,
like the waves in my mind,
until I feel that there’s nowhere to go.
Through the passage of time,
once sheltered then blind,
I see myself running further away.

With an ear to the wall,
awaiting validation,
that there’s a glimmer of hope.
Got my pride on the floor,
without defense.
On the fringes of a dream.
With you, I’m always uneasy.
Staring at a storm,
with no resolution,
for one thing to say.

(chorus)

Didn’t know your love was erratic.
It’s different every day.
Like a tenuous moon.
Only safe on a tangent,
where you’re never denied
The only truth you can take,
from your point of view.
Your life is always tragic.
There’s no hiding place
unless you’re below.

(chorus)
